About Me

Welcome! Follow me on this journey to discover how living a life of faith can help you through even the most difficult of circumstances. For we all have been given this gift called grace...unmerited grace from God. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

I am an Arizona native who is discovering what life is really all about through the world of motherhood. My title of “mom” to little man Reece, age 6, is my highest honor in life. When I'm not chasing Reece or my two dogs, Rory and Scooter, around, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, writing, crafting, reading, exploring the beautiful state of Arizona, discovering new restaurants and local coffee shops, and volunteering at my church. Reece was diagnosed with Down syndrome at birth and I hope to inspire and encourage other mothers of special needs children through my writing.

  2. Thank you for sharing your struggles and victories on loving Reece. We recently learned at 12 wks of pregnancy that our child likely has Down Syndrome, and I am fighting and praying to get to the acceptance stage. Your blog was a huge encouragement to us and brought me to tears. Thank you.

    1. Holly! So glad you found my blog and that it was an encouragement to you. I can assure you that I know exactly how you feel right now. I want you to hear something we were told when we found out about Reece's diagnosis. "What you're feeling right now isn't good, isn't bad, it just is. But you need to experience these emotions to get to the place of acceptance." And I KNOW that's a place you can get to! You can read more details about that in my "If I Had A Magic Wand" post. I will be praying for you and I would love to be in contact with you if you ever want to talk! xo
